YOU: Version 2.0

In reviewing many of my recent blog entries, I’ve noticed a subtle theme…examining the art of making choices; choosing which professional/personal “hat” to wear, the power of your knowledge to lead and influence…in sum, what are all of these aspects of yourself asking of YOU?

Well, I would venture to say that, in this age of technology, we are all being challenged to find and create the ‘Version 2.0′ of ourselves.

Who you were a mere 5 years ago is, in all likelihood, NOT who you are today. Perhaps life’s challenges have re-routed your path; it’s possible that personal or professional relationships have been severed or new ones added; maybe you are taking a look at what you have left behind and what path you want to pave for the rest of your journey…

I spent the better part of the past four years advising ‘Executive’ students, who had committed their everything to succeeding professionally, yet felt the need to continue learning, striving and re-defining. Particularly in the current economic climate, we all know that your skills cannot be fresh, dynamic, innovative enough…But creating that ‘Version 2.0′ of yourself applies to us ALL – the housewife whose nest is now empty, the high-achieving career woman who has just lost her job and realizes that she never really enjoyed it to begin with, the successful businessman who has been loyal to a company for twenty years, but who resigns the moment he discovers an opportunity to follow his dream of helping others….the stories are infinite. The question is, which one of these stories is yours…?

YOU: Version 2 has less to do with re-inventing yourself than in discovering who was there all along.

So, in this age of technology and gadgets that depreciate and out date themselves as soon as you power them on, I urge you to step away from the computer and step into yourself. Uncover your inherent strengths and discover what new paths may be waiting for your footsteps.

And, if you’re still not sure, there are a plethora of life coaches, career coaches and services waiting to help. Just ASK.

Wishing You Success,
